At Lena Quist we do not believe in overflowing the planet with unloved garments. All designs are made to order, in-house produced, with the designer herself involved in the making of each and every garment, if not directly so by supervision. It ensures a high quality control while the customer can rest assured the pieces are ethically made.
We are trying to source the best material options available to make your garment not just stand out and make an impression, but also be durable and to last for many shows and events. Therefore, we have selected a nylon/spandex mixture in a 4-way stretch that allows full movement while also being able to withstand the pressure of an intense performance act. so that You will be able to love and wear your Lena Quist design again and again.
WASTE REDUCTION
In a fashion world that creates tons of garbage during production we pledge to keep our waste at the absolute minimum.
After the process of cutting the garments we are saving and using the scraps when smaller pieces of fabrics are needed. Like for our beloved patchwork designs. This does in no way affect the quality of your garment, it only assures a lower carbon footprint goes into the making of it.
Our no unloved garment policy is also extended to our sample garments from the collection photo shoots and shows, which are afterwards made available for loans and rentals until they are finally sold in a sample sale, either in existing condition or refurbished for an extended lifespan.
DON'T KILL YOUR DARLINGS
Both for the sake of the environment and for you to be able to love your Lena Quist design as long as possible, we kindly ask you to not over-wash. Even the highest quality of nylon-spandex may shed some microplastic particles when gently hand-washed. Furthermore, the holographic or metallic top-coating will have a longer lifespan if aired and sprayed with a garment refresher rather than washed after every occasion it is worn. Wash less, and both you and the environment will benefit from it!
