The swedish brand Lena Quist was established in 2006. For the first three years it was an alternative fashion brand. Spandex clothing with a clear connection to 80's glam rock. Animal pattern, metallic and bright colours, and leather-spandex was the main ingrediences. It soon became popular among rockbands and artists to wear the designs on stage. The collections received brilliant critique in the alternative press, but Lena herself felt she was missing the challange it means to be a part of the real fashion industry.

In summer 2009, she decided to change the entire collection for the fall/winter and make it edgy high fashion with a touch of sophisticated glamour instead of sleazy 80's rock. Her friends and fans agreed and the first high fashion collection was released in November 2009, as a holiday collection featuring ”a little black dress for every occasion”.

The most popular part of the brand; the Glam Rock line, with all the classic leggings, mini dresses and swimsuits in a true 80's rock' n' roll spirit is remaining despite the change of the seasonal collections and news will keep on coming every season there as well.

The most important thing to Lena is to offer her customers the highest quality possible. Therefore are all the designs handmade in Sweden in top quality fabrics and she is involved herself, in every step of the making of the garments. She loves the old fashion ideals of tailoring and wants each garment to have a soul, which she feels they don't have, when they're being mass-produced in low-wage countries. Because of that she's got personal contact with with most of her clients.
